Book Review - After

After by Morris Gleitzman (Penguin Books Australia, 2012)

Penguin Books

Leo, 12, Canberra

After is the third book in this series, the two previous books being Once and Then.

All the books are about the same character, Felix, who is a 12 year old Jewish boy living in Nazi-occupied Poland during World War Two. After continues Felix’s story which started in Once and was developed in Then.

I like it because it is an engaging and deep story that makes me cry every time because of the way it is set out and the way Felix lives. I don’t want to give away too much but the plot is really interesting. It is about how Felix deals with the situation he is in and how it deeply affects him.

You need to read the other two books first but I think After is the best book in the series.
